The mural site is a huge wall along the NJ Transit train embankment connected to The Gateway Apartments in South Orange, NJ. The Gateway is a new development in South Orange featuring 91,000 SF of mix use abutting the NJ Transit train station. The wall faces the new development and will beautify space accessible to tenants and the public.

The historic community of South Orange is a quiet, tree-lined community with trademark gaslights in the foothills of the Watchung Mountains just 15 miles west of New York City. Architecturally significant buildings include the Village Hall and Fire Department and the sleek, state-of-the-art South Orange Performing Arts Center. South Orange is also home to the world-class Seton Hall University, which 10,000 students call home each year. South Orange boasts of strong commitment to the arts, historic and beautiful homes and neighborhoods, acres of scenic parks and facilities, and a bustling downtown.
